Mount Bethel Elementary School’s vision is EXCELLENCE IN ACTION. This historic school dates back to the 1800’s. Mount Bethel received its first National Blue Ribbon Award in 1986 and has continued its pursuit of academic excellence for over 30 years, earning its latest designation as a National Blue Ribbon School in 2016. Thanks to the support of the community through SPLOST funding, the facility underwent a major renovation in 2014 to better serve its students.
Dickerson Middle School, built in the 1980’s, has a long history of academic excellence. In 1998, it was named as the top middle school in Georgia. More recently, Dickerson was recognized as a 2017 National Blue Ribbon School for Exemplary High Performance. It is supported by the Dickerson Middle School Foundation which seeks to create rich educational experiences for all students.
Since opening its doors in 1975, Walton High School has received countless awards and accolades, including perennial recognition on the prestigious list of U.S. News and World Reports Best High Schools. The school operates under an innovative charter overseen by a governance council of school staff, parents, and students, allowing it greater flexibility to meet students’ unique academic and social needs.
In 2015, the old building was razed and two years later, the new Walton High School opened following a $48 million rebuild to modernize and enhance the facility.
